Nigeria, the country that has my heart
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labor of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and
Pause ! Something strikes me here : The labor of our heroes past shall NEVER be in vain... hmmm, how true is that ? My parents are both nigerians but I've never stepped my foot in Naija...BUT, and I say BUT,I know a whole lot ! The labor of our heroes past shall never be in vain ... but what am I hearing today ? Surely, Nigeria, in my opinion, is one of the greatest nations in Africa. I mean we are blessed. For instance the music industry , we have talented musicians e.g D'banj ,Wande Coal ,BankyW etc... just to name a few. But do we appreciate them ? Anyways that' s another topic. Back to today's topic, the labor of our heroes...Shouldn't that ring a bell to you ? Heroes... they were heroes and still are heroes ..Now can someone please tell me why sometimes electricity no dey? Can someone please find a solution to our water problem ? Can someone please give me a valid reason why kids shouldn't go to school because of school fee ? Can someone, anyone please tell me why kidnapping, killing, riots etc...have become order of the day ? Wouldn't you as an adult or a parent want your child to be educated ? Don't blame it on the government, no, dont ! We put them there... And I'm using this oppurtunity to appeal to Nigerians: please , VOTE WISELY !!!! Don't vote for someone who promises money, rather vote for a person who promises a better future !
Now press play!
Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace and justice
Enough has been said. The youths are the future of our great nation. The focus should be layed on them.
Like Eldee the Don says: one day , e go better
And I hope that "one day" is in the nearest future...
